The Church is over 100 years old with an active membership of over 100 people. Dementia is a subject close to the heart of members of the Church, with several members having direct and indirect experience of dementia through family and friends.
Saira Addison, MindCare Manager, attended a coffee morning to talk about the impact of dementia on local people and the how local charities and groups can work together to reduce isolation and support people to access the dementia support they may need.
Bromley MindCare Dementia Support would like to thank the Beckenham Methodist Church for raising and donating this money to service. The money will go towards keeping the dementia centres and support in the home running to provide family carers with a break, whilst helping people with dementia live as well as possible.
